You Make Me Feel So Young

First and foremost, I must sincerely apologise for the infrequent posts this past week. My week has been rather busy, but quite frankly I wasn't inspired to write about anything. Hopefully, when I get back to school (ugh) I will become more frequent, posting every evening. But until then, don't expect too much as I am going on holiday tomorrow until Friday. I will hopefully schedule some posts to keep you occupied while I am enjoying five days away.

Believe it or not, this post is actually about one of my most favourite blogs out there. For those of you who aren't familiar with the fashion blogs of the web, you might not have heard much about this gem; but if you are a regular visitor to some of the best fashion blogs in the world, you are most likely to love this blog as much as I do.

The blog, written by Ari Seth Cohen is a collection of street fashion, but not your average people. The majority of the blog is filled of very stylish and chic pensioners. The basic concept of this blog is offering a new perspective of older women for us yungen'. Ari Seth Cohen, who writes about and take the photos of these chic women,  says in his own words, ''I roam the streets of New York looking for the most stylish and creative older folks. Respect your elders and let these ladies and gents teach you a thing or two about living life to the fullest. Advanced Style offers proof from the wise and silver-haired set that personal style advances with age.''

At the moment, he is editing a documentary he has made about the life of senior fashionistas, and why they still have a passion for fashion. He will be entering it into the 2013 film festival, and will hopefully be shown in theatres after.

I am completely in love with this blog, simply because he has changed the way I look at some older folk. I think it is absolutely great that he devotes his time looking for older women who haven't got blue hair and spend the majority of their time knitting or at the Bingo club. It's a very genius, and new idea which I think it totally brilliant.

The Book

I find him, and his blog totally refreshing and so inspiring. I'm rather fed up of seeing the same youth- obsessed fashion, so finding and reading this blog is very revitalising. I guess what they say is true-life does get better with age. Here is a trailer to his documentary, and I can't wait to see the real thing.
